Hello! I am excited to have you join me on my journey…

I Got Nothing

I Got Nothing

Practising the Google Meet Links for next weeks lessons

This week I have struggled to find the right piece to share; whether to choose from the pieces I have already crafted or to write something new. This week for the first time since I started sharing with you all 10 weeks ago, I am at a loss. You see, I am tired my friends, tired… physically and yes, a little emotionally.

The obvious choice would have been to share something that happened on Monday, but since it is in connection with a current court issue, that makes it out of bounds.

Or as so many of you want to know how the house is going, I could tell you about that. But since this week I have already had to have an emergency contractor out twice to deal with two separate leaks, I’m not really going to tell you how it continues to kick my butt!!

I try hard to stay away from political posts, so that discounts talking about tonight’s debate. Ruby had to watch it for Social Studies homework, the rest of us just watched for fun! Oh my days! 🤡 and we will leave it at that!!

We could talk about the pandemic, I could tell you how it continues to scare me and how I worry about when International travel will be allowed again. As a girl who relies so much on her Dad I find this the hardest part; when will he be able to come visit our new home, help fix things, and bring Cadbury’s chocolate or better still the M&S Snow-globe gin bottles I’ve ordered?

Or I could talk about the school situation here again, how incredibly hard the teachers I know are working. And how I am going to teach again next week, albeit virtually and am so very excited and grateful to the teacher I have been working with for her patience and tenacity to get us to a point on Monday where we could have a dry run virtual practice.

Or I could finally get to follow up last week’s Birthday post with reassurances; to tell anyone experiencing a first celebration in their new normal and feeling apprehensive or scared or numb a few things to make it better, to make it easier for them. But not tonight, that’s just not right for tonight. If you are in that position though and need me please reach out, I want to support you. That post will follow, I promise you that…

What I am actually going to do is take the advice of my younger daughter, which I paraphrase here… it’s your hobby, it’s not supposed to be stressful, they are your friends and they will understand how tired you are with all you have going on. Sometimes she is wise beyond her years.

Normal service will be resumed next week,

Be kind, be gentle…

Denise xoxo
