Hello! I am excited to have you join me on my journey…

Erin

Erin

Short, sweet, silly little story for you today…

For me Erin epitomizes everything there is about self care and looking after yourself. In fact if truth be told I bet Erin doesn't even suffer from any kind of Surge Capacity Depletion that I talked about way back in early October…

I’m so hesitant to post this image and risk Erin being lost to us…

I’m so hesitant to post this image and risk Erin being lost to us…

Erin first came into our lives about 7 years ago… she arrived slowly, I’m not really sure I can remember life before her; it just feels as if she’s always been there.

From what we can make out Erin lives out towards Syracuse and forgot to update her contact details at all manner of places when she switched out her phone, Ellie then got assigned that number in the summer before middle school and since then every time Erin books a beauty treatment or schedules work on her car we know about it because Ellie gets the confirmation text. And it make me smile to myself every time that happens.

Before Covid Erin’s self care regime was en pointe, like so many of us now she doesn’t seem to be taking the same level of care of herself that she should be, and I worry about her a little bit, which is darn ridiculous because I know nothing about her other than her old phone number and her proclivity for massages. I only hope that she is finding care away from her massages, spray tans and manicures…

As NY Pause began to lift over the summer Erin booked a massage, we felt it was too soon; all 3 of us worried for her, and thankfully so did the salon as they cancelled via auto text. Several times I’ve suggested we contact the salon and tell them of the mix up, but to be honest I kind of feel protective over Erin, I want to see that she comes through this safe and well and ready to have treatments again and I’d miss the little glimpse we have into her life.

Erin, if you ever read this please reach out; we’d love to know something more about you.

And for the rest of you… be like Erin, my friends; take care of yourself, especially right now in the times we are living through!

Be kind, be gentle,

Denise xoxo
